In a series of acclaimed biographies Chris Salewicz has examined with insight and acumen the lives of some of our era’s most iconic and influential musicians - Bob Marley, Joe Strummer and Jimmy Page--- to name but a few. Here at Interview City, in conversation with fellow NME alumnus Paul Morley, he chronicles his own life story, from his Mod days in the North, to his early days in journalism in 70s America, to his introduction to Jamaica at the deep end.

Can anyone speak to the role of Nearlin Taitt in the role of the creation (if any) of reggae music. I hear Bunny mention him in the first few minutes here, saying he was playing on one of the first tunes for Ms. Pottinger.
